May: wings gallore

As I write this month’s editorial, the sun is shining and temperatures are soaring. Spring is at last making a decisive appearance! Nature blesses the eye with sightings of abundance: a clutch of ten ducklings on my local lake, bushes full of hawthorn flies, the first daddy long legs and last week end in my home town of Verdun in France, the chance to harvest amongst the most prolific morel growth in my living memory. Flavoursome mushrooms with a knack for camouflage!... but back to fly rods and dream streams.
